SWAT builds awareness of substance use for the communities of Strathmore and Wheatland County by advocating healthy, informed decision through community driven initiatives.  One of the ways in which we accomplish this goal is to develop educational opportunities, and we offer programs that are aimed at all age groups, including adults.

Not Just Another Anonymous Face is a substance abuse prevention presentation suitable for the Junior High/ High School age group.

Any Time is the Right Time: An Introduction to Talking to Your Kids About Substance Abuse is a short presentation designed to ease parents (or other caregivers) into broaching the subject of substance abuse, either as a preventative measure in the early years or as a reactive measure for those youth currently actively involved in substance abuse.  This program is recommended as a pre-requisite to the Kids and Drugs program.

Kids and Drugs is an Alberta Health Services program aimed at parents who wish to learn more about or are struggling with substance abuse issues with youth in their lives.

Raising Youth, Lowering Risk is a positive youth development program aimed at youth services practitioners, parents, and any adult who wishes to increase their knowledge of the assets of youth and community that lead to youth success.
